In fields once echoing with dairy cows, a new fragrance of purpose now rises.
What began as a family tradition is now a blooming legacy for the next generation.

Welcome to:
Lavender Fields at Maxwell Farm
The Maxwell Family Farm began in 1841 and was run primarily as a dairy operation for generations. Russell and Diane Maxwell, the fifth generation, retired the Holstein herd in 2022. Today, the farm produces hay, sweetcorn, and pumpkins — but to help secure its future, they sought something new. After researching lavender and its potential, they knew they’d found it.
Lavender Fields at Maxwell Farm was born.
Every row of lavender tells a story—of family, faith, and the joy of welcoming new friends to the farm.
To bring the vision to life, they invited the next generation, Susie Little, Rusty’s niece, to join the journey. A test row of 20 lavender plants was planted in May 2023. In May 2024, 430 plugs went into ten rows. May 2025 will see another 650 lavender plugs added. The dream is blooming.
